 Wendy has over twenty five of community leadership experience including positions as the Chief Executive Officer of the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation and various Senior Management Team roles at Lakeland College.  Her vast experiences at Lakeland College provided her with a number of exciting opportunities to shape the region’s post-secondary profile. During her tenure as Dean and Lloydminster Campus Principal, Wendy oversaw several schools, including counselling, the library and learning centers. She also coordinated the college’s Community Adult Learning Program with various learning councils in the region, and was the College’s Media Spokesperson for several years.

Regionally, she was tasked with being the College liaison for various Northern economic development councils, including VRRA, HUB, BRAED and Lloydminster Business Accelerator. During her time serving on these boards, Wendy was involved in several Strategic Planning practices. In addition, Wendy is an experienced facilitator who has been involved with multiple community engagement sessions.

Wendy was a ten-year member of the Lloydminster Chamber Board of Directors, including President in 2010. Recently she was also President of the Border City Rotary Club and is passionate about serving others through her various roles. She was also actively participating in the Reconciliation process in the Lloydminster Region during her tenure as CEO at the Lloydminster Regional Health Foundation.

In 2012, Wendy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and spent a year on a “wellness” journey.  This experience, helped to shape Wendy’s perspective life – work balance, and she is particularly passionate about sharing her lessons from this period in her life. 

Wendy also is a managing partner in Section 25 Management Ltd., an innovative consulting agency assisting Western Canadian Landowners in the acquisitions and coordination of their oil and gas assets.  In addition, Wendy plays a part time advisory role at Startup Lloydminster, as the “Entrepreneur in Residence”, assisting in community and startup development.
